Course Overview and Purpose
Access 2002 (the Office XP database) is a powerful, graphics-based database
application that runs on the Windows operating systems. By the end of
this course, students should be able to set relationships between tables,
create complex queries and forms, and use macros and Visual Basic to
tie objects together in an application.
Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with the use of personal computers, understand
basic file concepts (such as the use of files and folders for storing
information) and be comfortable working in the Windows 95/98/ME/2000,Windows
NT 4.0, or Windows XP environment.
Students should be familiar with the basic techniques for building tables,
relationships, queries, forms, and reports in Access. Knowledge of database
concepts is assumed.
Moderate typing skills are also required.
