Course Overview and Purpose
Access 2002 (the Office XP database) is a powerful database application
that runs on the Windows operating systems. The purpose of this two-day
course is to teach proficient database skills (including creating
database tables, extracting information from the tables, and producing
forms and reports based on tables or queries) using Excel 2002. At
the end of this course, attendees will be prepared to challenge the
Microsoft Excel 2002 Core exam, if desired.
Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with the use of personal computers, understand
basic file concepts (such as the use of files and folders for storing
information) and be comfortable working in the Windows 95/98/ME/2000,Windows
NT 4.0, or Windows XP environment. It is recommended that users unfamiliar
with Windows take introductory course before taking this course.
Moderate typing skills are also required.
