Course Overview and Purpose
Access 2003 (the Office XP database) is a powerful database application
that runs on the Windows operating systems. The purpose of this two-day
course is to teach proficient database skills (including creating database
tables, extracting information from the tables, and producing forms
and reports based on tables or queries) using Access 2003.
Purpose
Students should be familiar with the use of personal computers, understand
basic file concepts (such as the use of files and folders for storing
information) and be comfortable working in the Windows 95/98/ME/2000,Windows
NT 4.0, or Windows XP environment. It is recommended that users unfamiliar
with Windows take introductory course before taking this course.
Moderate typing skills are also required.
Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with the use of personal computers, understand
basic file concepts (such as the use of files and folders for storing
information) and be comfortable working in the Windows 95/98/2000 or
Windows NT 4.0 environment. It is recommended that users unfamiliar
with Windows take an Introduction to Windows course before taking this
course.
Knowledge of database concepts is not assumed.
