Course Length/Prerequisites
This three-day course requires Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0 Introduction
or equivalent experience. Students should be familiar with at least
one software application, such as a word-processing or spreadsheeting
program. Knowledge of database terminology is not assumed.
Course Objectives
This course is designed for students who wish to prepare for the Access
97 Expert Specialist exam. The Expert Specialist exam of the Microsoft
Office User certification program covers the following skills:
create a relational database and design tables
define relationships between tables
import and export data
modify the information in a table
sort and find records
create filters and queries
create multi-table and other types of queries
enhance database design
utilize web capability
design forms and reports
Upon completion of this hands-on workshop, students will be able to
perform the required tasks listed above. Students who wish to achieve
certification in the MS Office User program will be prepared to challenge
the User Specialist exam.
