Course Length/Prerequisites
This one-day course requires a basic familiarity with microcomputers
and DOS.
Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for new users of Windows and those who are
planning to use applications such as Excel, Word and PageMaker. This
course, PC & Windows Introduction, or Windows Orientation, is a
prerequisite for all introductory Windows application courses.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this hands-on workshop, students will be able to:
understand the relationship between Windows and DOS
launch and exit Windows, Windows applications and non-Windows applications
minimize, maximize and restore applications, and switch between them
while they're running
use the Windows Help screens
create groups and icons; customize the Windows desktop to suit individual
tastes
use the File Manager to format disks, manipulate directories and files,
and search for files
copy and move information using the Clipboard
