Course Overview and Purpose
Excel 2003 (the Office XP spreadsheet) is a powerful spreadsheet
application that runs on the Windows operating systems. The purpose
of this one-day course is to teach basic spreadsheet skills (including
creating formulas, editing and formatting, saving and printing spreadsheets,
and creating and modifying charts and other graphic objects) using
Excel 2003.
Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with the use of personal computers, understand
basic file concepts (such as the use of files and folders for storing
information) and be comfortable working in the Windows 95/98/ME/2000,Windows
NT 4.0, or Windows XP environment. It is recommended that users unfamiliar
with Windows take introductory course before taking this course.
Moderate typing skills are also required.

This one-day course covers a wide variety of spreadsheet topics,

- Creating and Saving Workbooks
- Working with Ranges, Columns and Rows
- Moving and Copying Worksheets
- Formatting a Worksheet
- Functions and Formulas
