Excel 97 Advanced Level II

Course Length/Prerequisites

This one-day course requires Excel 97 Introduction or equivalent.

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for personnel who are already using Excel 97 and who wish to increase their efficiency by using some of the more advanced features of the product. Students who have experience using Excel 97 — but who have no formal training in its use — should consider taking the Excel 97 Fast Pace course.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this hands-on workshop, students will be able to:

  • create and use range names

  • create and use an outline
  • use a list (database) to store, extract and summarize information
  • create, modify and format pivot tables
  • protect a worksheet and workbook
  • use the COUNTIF and SUMIF functions
  • create and use styles, templates and autotemplates
