Word 2000 Expert Specialist

Course Length/Prerequisites

This three-day course requires Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 Introduction as well as the Word User Specialist course. Familiarity with all features covered in the User Specialist course or equivalent experience with the product is a prerequisite.

Intended Audience

This course is intended for students who wish to prepare for the Microsoft Office User exam "Expert Specialist" for Word 2000.

Purpose

The purpose of this course is to teach advanced word processing skills including text flow control, using fields, performing mail merge operations, generating tables of contents and indices, working with graphics and recording macros. At the end of this course attendees will be prepared to challenge the Expert Specialist exam for Word 2000.

The Expert Specialist certification is intended for users you wish to create personalized form letters (single and multiple page with envelopes and mailing labels), formal reports, technical reports, proposals and studies, newsletters, brochures, manuals and forms.

This course is intended to be completed in sequential order. A map of exam topics and the corresponding chapters and exercises is included in the Document Map at the end of this manual.

Prerequisites

Attendees should be familiar with all topics covered in our MOUS User Specialist course and be comfortable working in the Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0/5.0 interface. Moderate typing skills are also required.
