Course Overview and Purpose
Word 2003 is a powerful word processing program that runs on the
Windows operating systems. The purpose of this three-day course is
to teach advanced word processing skills (including text flow control,
using fields, performing mail merge operations, generating tables
of contents and indices, working with graphics and recording macros)
using Word 2003.
Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with the topics covered in the Word 2003
course.
Students should also be familiar with the use of personal computers,
understand basic file concepts (such as the use of files and folders
for storing information) and be comfortable working in the Windows
95/98/ME/2000, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows XP environment. It is recommended
that users unfamiliar with Windows take introductory course before
taking this course.
Moderate typing skills are also required.
